In an 'excellent' location, a short walk from the town centre and a two-minute stroll to the beach. Niall and Nikki MacDougall run their white-walled Edwardian house (sea views from most rooms) as a B&B. There are displays of contemporary Cornish artists on the walls. Bar, lounge, dining room (no background music); south-facing garden, sun deck. Wi-Fi. Children, dogs (the latter not in high season) welcomed. Closed end Dec to Feb. Now under new ownership. We had a warm welcome. The bedroom was large with a wonderful sea view; the bed was comfortable. Breakfast as fulfilling as you would expect. There is a large drawing room with a gas fire, and a pleasant patio garden, both with views of the sea. Plenty of parking in the street outside. It is in a quiet spot, but a short drive to the centre of town.

Spotlessly clean, luxurious touches. Great views. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with local produce and DIVINE smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Great value for money.
