Ravenhill House

Review

'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,' say Roger and Olive Nicholson, the owners and 'most helpful hosts' of this detached Victorian house in a leafy suburb. Guests at their 'well-run, friendly' B&B choose the evening before from an impressive morning selection: home-made bread, muesli, granola and fruit compote, organic porridge, Ardglass kippers and a full Ulster fry. It is convenient for the city, having good bus links on the busy road ('I was not disturbed by traffic'). 'My small single bedroom was clean, well equipped and well lit; comfortable bed, with good pillows and sheets, blankets not a duvet; a clean bathroom with a good shower; just enough storage space.' 'Good value for money.' Free Wi-Fi connection; maps and other information are provided. Many eating places are nearby. More reports, please.
