East England

Eastern England, home of the Norfolk Broads

The ancient kingdom of East Anglia is one of England's most historic and beautiful areas. Famed for the Norfolk Broads, a stunning network of more than 300km of waterways, now a national park, it is a haven for migrating birds, rare plans and wildlife such as otters. The region boasts four areas of outstanding natural beauty including the Chiltern Hills, the Dedham Vale and the wild Norfolk and Suffolk coasts. Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast is the location of an internationally renowned annual music festival, inspired by the composer, Benjamin Britten.
