Good Hotel Guide Review
‘We had a fantastic stay.’ Guests in 2016 ‘really enjoyed’ Moyra and Rod Davidson’s ‘relaxing’ Georgian B&B, in tranquil farmland with uninterrupted views across the Solway Firth. Set amid extensive lawns and wooded grounds, the ‘beautifully presented’ B&B has ‘a real sense of warmth and welcome’ – ‘the hosts make it special’. ‘Everything is comfortably furnished, with a wood-burner in the living room and books everywhere, which we loved.’ Large, ‘well-appointed’ bedrooms have thoughtful touches, such as a hot-water bottle and a choice of bedding. An ‘ample and beautifully arranged’ breakfast includes home-made marmalade, and honey from hives in the garden. Sitting room/study, dining room. Free Wi-Fi, in-room TV (Freeview). No background music. 4-acre grounds. Drying and storage facilities. Parking. 2 miles from village. 3 bedrooms (1 on ground floor). Per room B&B £80–£90. Closed Christmas, New Year.
