Good Hotel Guide Review
Time your arrival to tea: mid-afternoons at this B&B off the High Street, Hannah McIntyre lays out a spread of freshly baked treats for guests. Candle-scented, flower-filled, its shelves lined with books to borrow, the B&B wins fans for its pleasing, country-style bedrooms, each with a super-king-size bed, space to sit and a bathtub big enough for two. Greet the day in style in the spacious, beamed breakfast room: the hostess serves home-made jams and granola, specially blended teas and coffees, generous platters of bacon, sausages, eggs and roast tomatoes. Open from Thursday to Sunday; book for a long weekend, and leave only when the cake runs out. Breakfast room, library (honesty bar); terrace with seating. Free Wi-Fi, in-room TV (Freeview). Background music. Resident cat, Leyla. Children over 12 welcomed. 3 bedrooms. Per room B&B £185–£205. Closed Mon–Wed; week before Christmas–end Jan.
