Good Hotel Guide Review
A short walk from the waterfront, Clare and James Brown’s modern town house hotel is liked for its informal atmosphere. Neat bedrooms vary in size, though all have a large bed, space to sit, artwork by local artists, designer lighting. Food and wine events (open to the public) are occasionally organised in the sleek, open-plan wine bar and shop; when the bar is closed, guests are offered complimentary pre- and post-dinner drinks. Sample Mediterranean-influenced meals in the bistro; tapas and light bites are available in the bar. Lounge, bar (complimentary tapas on Fri eve), restaurant (closed Sun–Thurs). Free Wi-Fi, in-room TV. Soft background jazz. Parking permits supplied. Children welcomed. 8 bedrooms. Per room B&B £150–£199. Dinner £32. 2-night min. stay in peak season. Closed Christmas, Jan.
