The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

All you need to do to have a chance of winning this handsome prize of a nights accommodation, along with breakfast at The Rookery is to SEND A REVIEW of your favourite hotel or B&B in Great Britain or Ireland. The prize is awarded to the best review. We welcome reports on places that have never been in the Guide or have been omitted, as well as those that have a current entry.
The winner of January/February’s prize of a one night stay at the The Inn at Whitewell, is Lynn Middleton from Yorkshire.
Travel costs are not included in the prize, the winners will need to make their own travel arrangements. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative available for the prize as a whole or any of the elements included. The winner must be over 18. The prize does not include drinks. The GHG editors award the prize to the best review submitted to the Guide between March 1st and May 31st, 2024.
