Good Hotel Guide Review
On an outcrop in the Ardennes, with ‘stunning’ views of the sleepy little town and the valleys of the rivers Amblève and Salm, Dennis and Christine Fluijter’s Logis de Belgique provides ‘exceptional value’, say its admirers. Reached via a hairpin bend, it is ‘charming if eccentric’; the welcome is ‘friendly in the extreme’. Drinks are served on a panoramic terrace. The ‘excellent’ dinner (with menus of four to seven courses) is ‘solicitously served, with good French wines’. Bedrooms vary in size, and decoration (‘I counted 11 different wallpaper patterns’). ‘The sunrise, and the buffet breakfast in such relaxed surroundings, made a perfect start to the day,’ was one recent comment.
