Good Hotel Guide Review
Heathery tones and tweedy fabrics bring a breath of fresh Orkney air to this family-run hotel in two Victorian villas just beyond the city centre. Luxurious suites have high ceiling, a deep copper bath. Rooms are simpler in Hampton House, opposite, but all are supplied with a comfortable bed, pampering products, home-made shortbread. In Ba’ Bar, rich hues, leather bar stools, monochrome photographs and a wide selection of craft spirits; in the lounges, colourful velvet chairs and sofas. Modern Scottish dishes (crispy haggis bonbons, hand-dived scallops) are available through the day. Buses to the centre; those to the airport stop right outside.
'Book Three Nights, Get One Free' Special Offer
The seasons are shifting, Edinburgh’s trees are turning red and gold, and the Ba’ Bar fireside has never been so appealing. To mark the onset of Autumn (and give you an excuse to linger a little longer by the fire), here’s an offer for one night free when you book a three-night stay or more. So, sit back, relax and cosy up for the evening – that’s what Autumn’s made for, after all. Offer valid until 30th November 2018. Please mention the Good Hotel Guide when booking.
