The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Wild swimming, wildlife watching and a rejuvenating spa are among the attractions at this immaculately refurbished hotel with glorious views across Craignure Bay. Contemporary bedrooms and suites have a natural palette of earth and moss, sea and sky, inspired by the surrounding landscape. Classic rooms are fairly snug, with access to the spa pool. All other grades have complimentary spa access. Sea-view suites have decking or a Juliet balcony. Retreat suites have an outdoor hot tub from which to watch the ferries come and go. In Òran na Mara Bistro (it means 'song of the sea'), menus offer a good choice for all, with plant-based dishes alongside steaks, bouillabaisse, the catch of the day.
