Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This small luxury hotel stands on a hillside estate on the island's northeast coast, amid green lawns with palm trees. Run by the American owners, the Keusch and Lowell families, it has elegant dining, a spring-fed swimming pool, and a spa. The bedrooms, decorated in English colonial style, include the three-room Grand Villa, Supreme rooms and Royal suites, luxurious ones in the Great House, and smaller, standard ones. Many are in cottages. The Royal Palm restaurant, in the old sugar factory, is open to the public. Breakfast is à la carte. Guests may take a shuttle to Basseterre, the island's capital, and to the central beaches, and explore one of the many rainforest trails. Children of all ages are welcomed: those under ten are usually accommodated in the Royal Suite Cottage or the Grand Villa where they may use the plunge pools as the 60 ft spring-fed pool is for adults.
