The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
This simple holiday hotel, partly in chalet-style and with an extension, has been owned and run by the Voit family since 1876. It's set in a quiet resort village amid the scenic upland country of Fichtelgebirge. There's a large, handsome garden with trees, 'lots of lawn for children', a terrace and games, plus a heated indoor swimming pool and a sauna. The hotel has simple furnishings and pleasant bedrooms; the restaurant provides good home-cooked dinners (residents only).
