Located very close to the village of Mougins, and only 20 mins from Cannes, this small luxury hotel is described as more of a country house than a hotel, with only five beautiful suites. Three are in the main house (a 400 year old mas), and another is accessed by its own entrance in the garden – perfect for those with children as it has a separate living room where extra beds can be placed. In summer, there's the option of staying in a restored Romany gypsy caravan with its own terrace. The rooms are romantic yet elegant, with beamed ceilings, candelabras, comfortable beds and huge baths; one room has its own fireplace and another a pink marble bathroom. Breakfast, featuring organic and fair trade products, is taken on the terrace, and light lunches and dinners are also available, using produce from the hotel's garden. Dinners are a choice of two set menus for €39, with eg zucchini and asparagus velouté and ricotta ravioli with crispy pancetta. There's a small swimming pool and sun loungers, and at night the gardens are lit with tealights.
