Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Montpellier has some grandiose modern architecture but is full of historical interest too, and has a charming Vieille Ville, well restored. Here, down a narrow street, this group of fine 16th/17th-century buildings has been liked very much by visitors over the years, even after it was taken over as a Best Western. “Most welcoming staff. A very comfortable stay.” “The same bedroom as last year, looking on to gardens and cathedral. As nice and quiet as ever.” “Good continental breakfast.” Some rooms are small. Access by car is tricky, particularly on a Sunday, and one reader advises: “Phone for advice about parking.” Some nearby garages offer special rates. No restaurant: try Le Petit Jardin, next door (“excellent”).
