Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
On the banks of Le Loir (not La Loire, further south), is this small country restaurant-with-rooms (Logis de France). 'The setting is most attractive, the owners [Thierry and Valérie Lesiourd] were quietly welcoming' (he cooks, she is front-of-house). There is a small salon and a 'very pleasant terrace and garden' leading down to the river. 'Our room was attractively wallpapered and furnished. We dined well from a modestly priced set menu, and enjoyed an excellent bottle of St Nicholas de Bourgueil.' A la carte options are also available. Nearby is the handsome town of La Flèche.
