Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
The “very good food” and “warm welcome” continue to impress visitors to this “Flemish country inn” (Logis de France), where Philippe and Bea Dubreucq have presided for 40 years. “We had a super time,” was one comment. The handsome building, in a village near Dunkerque, has modern interiors and stained-glass windows. The fixed-price menus are thought “excellent value for money” and there's also a menu gourmet and an a la carte menu. Wines are “reasonably priced”, staff are “cheerful, even at breakfast” (“an adequate buffet”). “Our “superior” room was spacious, quiet, well decorated.” There is a big garden with a fountain. Many visitors are British, and conferences and functions are held. The fine, large village church has “impressive altars”.
