“Idyllically” set on the little River Canche, below the citadel, this restaurant-with-rooms is run by Alexandre Gauthier, who took over from his father Roland in 2003. The food draws visitors from afar: Alexandre's molecular gastronomy is highly inventive and original and has a Michelin star. The dining rooms have been adapted for a more modern cuisine; instead of 1920s frog murals and ornaments, it's now glass, wood and rusted metal; there are also 'huts' in the garden sleeping two people.
