The 'extremely helpful' Karl and Anneliese Schnöll (his family have owned it for over a century) run it with their identical twin daughters and younger son. 'The people, the service and the menus reflect the finest that Salzburg offers. Beautiful walking area, sounds of cowbells,' says this year's reporter. For dinner you can eat à la carte or choose a simple set menu. 'Food of a high standard.' There is a swimming pool in the garden, and also one indoors. Some bedrooms have a balcony.
