Hotels in Nottinghamshire

In the East Midlands bordering South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire might be famous for the legendary Robin Hood, but it’s the variety of attractions, landscapes and hospitality that keep travellers returning time and again. A region known for lace making and bicycle manufacturing, it’s variety of spas, B&Bs, country house hotels and city escapes are worth a visit all year round.

Amongst the area’s most popular hotels, is Langar Hall. A legend amongst hotels, this romantic apricot-washed Georgian mansion in a Vale of Belvoir village was formerly run by Imogen Skirving. Today it remains a beautiful country house retreat. At the opposite end of the experiential spectrum, Hart’s Hotel in Nottingham is an award-winning noughties building on the ramparts of Nottingham Castle, famed for its cocktails as much as its exceptional location.

Beyond the hotels themselves, Nottinghamshire has much to see and do. Explore the landscapes like Sherwood Forest or a fascinating network of man-made caves at Creswell Crags - home to Europe’s most Northerly Cave Art. Wollaton Hall, Newstead Abbey as well as a variety of pubs, bars and cafes, offer something for every occasion, whether you’re visiting with the family or on a mini break with a group of friends.
