Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Zeynep Öziş and her small, young staff 'offer 'great hospitality' at this 'marvellous' B&B hotel. A Guide reader warmly recommends this 130-year-old Greek mansion, the first boutique hotel in what is now a 'bustling' village in the remote Cesme peninsula of western Turkey. 'The style could be called rustic chic; the rooms are simple but everything is of the highest quality.' No restaurant, but there are plenty nearby: 'A pleasure of staying here is deciding where to eat each night – we were spoiled for choice.' The 'magnificent' buffet breakfast includes 'every conceivable type of home-made jam, cheeses, olives, fine local breads'. Another highlight comes at 5pm: complimentary tea with home-made cake, 'of which they are justifiably proud – a different one each day'. The small walled garden has a sheltered swimming pool, 'watched over by friendly cats', and there is a 'pleasant lounge — cosy in winter'. (Andrew Kleissner)
