The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Owned by Americans Rick Davison and his wife Alicia Halpin, this small hotel/restaurant stands on hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Accommodation is in four cabanas and two suites. The owners promise 'simple modern aesthetic with comfortable rusticity'. There are oversized, slate-tiled walk-in showers, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Cooking in the Pagua Bay Bar & Grill, which faces the ocean, is 'American with Caribbean flair'. Guests may walk on the beach but it is not suitable for swimming. That is best done in the crystal clear River Pagua which runs into the cove.
