Good Hotel Guide Review
This hotel is in the centre of Positano, close to shops and restaurants and five minutes from Spiaggia Grande beach. What it may lack in amentities such as a pool or direct beach access it more than makes up for with beautiful country-chic interior design and intimacy. A 17th century house used as a holiday home by the Buonocore family for many years, it was converted into a hotel in 2012 and is still run and managed by the family. Rooms overlook the garden filled with orange trees or the sea, and the deluxe room (actually a suite) has panoramic views of the sea and mountains. Breakfast is a generous buffet featuring homemade cakes, fresh fruit, eggs to order; there is no restaurant as such but staff will prepare meals and drinks on request. The hotel is located on a narrow lane with 70 steps but a porter will assist with luggage.
