Good Hotel Guide Review
A former maison de notaire, this inexpensive Logis de France is in a small town, surrounded by mountain pastures, on the pilgrims” route to Santiago de Compostela. The two Fargier brothers (their family has owned it since 1795) “try hard to please”, writes a visitor (one brother is chef, the other front-of-house). The hotel is found “comfortable”; “The bedrooms are good (they even provide towelling bathrobes).” The food was this year thought “simple, but generally pleasing, with wine both good and cheap”. “Breakfast was lavish: muesli, mountain ham, melon, etc.”
