Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
In a pretty riverside town in northern Burgundy, Pascal and Marie-Jeanne Leclerc run a stylish B&B hotel in a white 1850s mansion. The bedrooms are each named after a French marshal and those facing the road have double glazing. “Our lovely, well-furnished room had a luxuriously large bathroom,” say guests. Others had “an elegant second-floor room with a balcony above the tranquil grounds and pool”. “Breakfast on the terrace was delightful,” said one visitor. Another thought the buffet “not particularly impressive”. In the public rooms, furnishings and decor are opulent (lots of crimson); the bar has an open fire. No restaurant, but there are plenty of options in town, such as Salamandre or La Pause Gourmande.
