On a street near the old town and the seafront is this much-admired B&B in two belle époque houses. Visitors find it “comfortable, quiet”, “high quality, with interesting decor”. Reception staff are “unfailingly helpful”. “They served us a complimentary bottle of champagne when we booked three rooms for two nights.” The “excellent” (if “pricey”) buffet breakfast, served on Limoges porcelain, includes freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh pastries, and you can boil your own eggs. All is neat and elegant: white-tiled bathrooms, bright colours, Provençal fabrics, flower and fruit prints on walls. Windows are double glazed.
