Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
Away from the crowded waterfront of this old fishing port near the Spanish border, this modestly priced B&B hotel, 'not luxurious, but good value', is up a steep side street. The rooms vary, but all have air conditioning. Street-facing ones hear traffic, and one visitor thought the lighting 'poor'. But most rooms are praised: 'My front room was decorated in fresh yellow.' My third-floor room, up steep stairs, had French windows opening on to its own little terrace surrounded by lavender bushes.' Public areas have Catalan paintings. There is a large high-ceilinged reception area, and a 'pleasant, smallish' swimming pool with bar. 'The views over mountains are beautiful, especially as the sun sets.' For meals, Le Trémail and El Capillo are recommended.
