The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
In a pretty village between Nîmes and Montpellier is this renovated, creeper-covered, old farmhouse, run by Alain Foubert. All the air-conditioned bedrooms face the central courtyard or a garden: some are small. The 'sheer cosiness' and good value are praised. The excellent dinners, cooked by Suzane Baret, are served in the 'delightful small dining room' with its large fireplace, or in the courtyard in summer. There are two set menus, at €20 and €30, and a carte.Regional wines dominate the short list. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, but the hotel recommends four places nearby.
