The rooms in this imposing 19th century former townhouse are decorated in a contemporary style, with mainly white and beige hues with splashes of red, and the lobby has interesting artworks. Bathrooms are separated from the bedroom by glass partitions, which is not to every guest's liking, and some rooms are noisy. The hotel offers excellent value for money, however, especially given its location in the chic Salamanca neighbourhood, close to Retiro Park (free bicycle rental helps make the most of this). The Petit Palace hotel chain owns 33 hotels throughout Spain.
