Good Hotel Guide Review
‘Outstanding value, nearly perfect in its class.’ Ever popular, this lovely little hotel is off the beaten track, in an ‘amazingly quiet’ square near the Porte d’Orléans. It offers ‘perhaps the best value in Paris’, say fans. Transport links to the centre are good. Reception is bright and cheerful, and the modern bedrooms, large for Paris, are ‘clean, large, bright’, and decorated in hues of beige and brown, with red bedspreads adding a dash of colour. Some rooms have aromatherapy diffusers, which release water mixed with lemon and eucalyptus oils into the air. Bathrooms, too, are spacious, ‘with hot, hot water’. Breakfast, which includes a newspaper (not in English) is buffet-style. No air-conditioning. Recommended local restaurant is La Régalade, avenue Jean Moulin.
