On the shore of Lake Geneva, in a “delightful” medieval village, Jeannine and Jean-François Kung”s chalet-style restaurant-with-rooms, with its flowery facade, was thought “charming”, and “welcoming” by visitors. “We loved our room. Cream and white, it had a little sitting area and a balcony overlooking the lake. Robes and slippers were provided in the wonderful bathroom. It was blissfully quiet, and we slept soundly. Food was superb.” The restaurant, which specialises in fish, and the terrace, surrounded by trees, also face the water. The large foyer, which doubles as bar and breakfast area, is “well designed”. “Not cheap, but worth it,” is one verdict.
