The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
'A beautiful set of old buildings.' In a tranquil setting on the Island of Funen, this renowned hotel/restaurant is 'deservedly known for its cooking'; the glass-walled restaurant looks over the pretty harbour. 'A wonderful retreat; staff courteous and helpful.' Large suites, each with a fireplace, are across the road from the restaurant, set around a courtyard. Some rooms are small, with a steep staircase leading to a loft bedroom. A 'great and delicious' breakfast is brought to the room. A Relais & Chateau member, it is owned by the Grønlykke family and the French chef Jean-Louis Lieffroy.
