Good Hotel Guide Review
In the lively Tribeca area of Manhattan, Robert de Niro’s luxury hotel, opened in 2008, ‘has a ski lodge feel to it, says its nominator. It stands on a cobblestoned street a block away from the Hudson River. ‘A bonus is the Locanda Verde, one of my favourite restaurants in New York.’ ‘Friendly greeting, rooms clean and welcoming, nice extras like comfy slippers and high-quality toiletries. Every room feels different and unique.’ Minibar snacks are free. Carrara marble and Moroccan tiles abound in the bathrooms. Some suites have a fireplace. The carpeted drawing room faces a lush courtyard. (John Levene)
