Bedrooms, with sea or countryside views, some with original Victorian features, have a restful palette. The best have a coffee machine and mini fridge. In Fallowfields restaurant, Joseph Fallowfield cooks a locally sourced tasting menu in long or short form, with 'detailed and creative' cooking, according to the Michelin guide. 'The food was out of this world,' reported a reader. In the sea-facing Terrace, enjoy dishes such as whole roasted Cornish sole, beer-battered catch of the day, burgers or steaks. 'The sunset views were so special,' writes one reader.
