Handsomely restored, this 'absolutely charming B&B is within walking distance from the centre and is on a decent bus route'. It is owned by Olive and Roger Nicholson, who welcome arriving guests with complimentary tea and coffee. Individually decorated in keeping with the style of the Victorian house, bedrooms have good seating, and modern facilities. A 'terrific homemade breakfast' is served in a book-lined room with a wood-burning stove. The Nicholsons mill their own flour from organic Irish wheat grain for the freshly baked sourdough and wheaten bread; there are also homemade marmalades and jams, spiced fruit compotes and good vegetarian options.
