Loch Rannoch Hotel & Estate
Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire
Families, dogs and outdoor types are in their element at this former hunting lodge on an estate amid the great wilderness of Rannoch Moor, with loch views, marina, and flexible dining options.
Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
An extended Victorian hunting lodge, this hotel and spa has majestic views across the loch to Schiehallion mountain, amid 'Britain's last wilderness'. Ideal for active families and their dogs, the enterprise was born again post-lockdown under the Rannoch Collection, after a redesign inspired by the heydays of Victorian travel. Heritage loch and forest-view rooms sleep two; contemporary rooms can accommodate three or four. The best suite, with an 8ft four-poster bed, has a loch-facing balcony. Sporty types and wildlife-watchers are in their element, while dining options are flexible, with the Estate Room serving dishes such as venison medallions, port and thyme jus, while pub classics are available in the Wild Brownie.
