Good Hotel Guide Review
In a quiet corner of Mayfair, this luxury hotel (part of the Maybourne group) ‘far surpasses expectations’. Butlers attend to every request, and even the youngest guests are liberally treated: they have home-made snacks, a personalised bathrobe and, on request, a concierge-planned itinerary of family-friendly hotspots. Beyond the plushly buzzy lobby, period features, antique pieces and bespoke modern furniture blend well throughout the handsome building. Every bedroom has lavish touches such as a cashmere blanket, a marble bathroom, state-of-the-art technology. Take afternoon tea in the conservatory, or a cocktail or two in the intimate bar, but save room for chef Hélène Darroze’s Michelin-starred French cooking in the wood-panelled restaurant (excellent vegetarian options).
