Good Hotel Guide Review
Where the village gives way to green fields, the Marriott family has converted a series of farm buildings into comfortable B&B accommodation. Robert Marriott and his brother, John, run the adjoining arable farm; Caroline Marriott is the ‘friendly, accommodating’ hostess. Arranged around a neatly landscaped courtyard with seating, up-to-date bedrooms occupy the former milking parlour and stables; connecting rooms suit a family. Hearty farmhouse breakfasts might include porridge with fresh cream, or avocado with locally sourced sausages and eggs – fuel for tackling the walking and cycling tracks from the door. The Nene Way footpath runs through the farm; the village pub is a short stroll away.
