Good Hotel Guide Review
Adjoining their small arable farm, the Marriott family has converted a series of outbuildings into homely B&B rooms. Robert Marriott and his brother, John, run the farm; Caroline Marriott is the ‘friendly, accommodating’ hostess. Surrounded by fields and fresh air, simply decorated bedrooms occupy the former milking parlour and stables arranged around a courtyard with seating; several may be connected to suit a family. The hearty farmhouse breakfast might include porridge with fresh cream, a farmer’s butty, and steak and eggs (a speciality) – ideal for tackling walking and cycling tracks from the door, including the Nene Way footpath, which runs through the farm. The village pub is a short stroll away.
