Good Hotel Guide Review
Adjoining their small arable farm, a series of outbuildings has been converted by the Marriott family into homely B&B rooms. Surrounded by fields and fresh air, it’s a wholesome setting. Robert Marriott and his brother, John, run the farm; Caroline Marriott is the ‘friendly, accommodating’ hostess. Simple, attractive bedrooms, arranged around a central courtyard, occupy the former milking parlour and stables; several may be connected to suit a family. The hearty farmhouse breakfast might include porridge with fresh cream, a farmer’s butty, steak and eggs (a speciality); ideal for tackling walking and cycling tracks from the door, including the Nene Way footpath which runs through the farm. The village pub is a short stroll away.
