Good Hotel Guide Review

In ‘a lovely rural location’ yet within easy reach of the town centre and Worcester cathedral, Chrissie Mitchell’s ‘spotless’ and ‘very reasonable’ B&B is ‘surrounded by delight’. The converted outbuildings are set around a courtyard; there are old cart wheels and farm paraphernalia in front, a lush garden behind. Arriving guests are offered tea, cake and helpful local information. ‘Comfortable and immaculate’ bedrooms (one a duplex family suite with a kitchenette) have ‘excellent lighting’, small fridge, bathrobes, fresh milk available on request. ‘The newly installed walk-in shower was first class,’ reported a Guide regular this year. There is a ‘good’ breakfast, although it is perhaps ‘not the high point it once was’. Local pubs are within walking distance.

Guest comments

'Sylvia Smith was at the car door before we had parked - and we were on Christian-name terms before we had got out. You drive to the door of any one of the bedrooms, and are surrounded by delight - old cart-wheels and farm paraphernalia in front and an immaculate spring garden behind, with daffodils, currants and magnolias all in full bloom. Our spacious, immaculate room had a wide bed, attractively laid out. The bathroom was tidy, practical, spacious and with everything you need. Terry Smith is rightly proud of his breakfasts. The final delight was the size of the bill. an astonishing bargain, considering the standard of all that surrounded and was on offer. ' - Michael Bourdeaux - April, 2016
'Thank you for recommending this B&B. I have never before found anywhere to stay near Worcester that I would wish to return to, but I have already booked a return visit here. Top notch! ' - David Sefton - October, 2013
