The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
On the Upper East Side, steps from Fifth Avenue and Central Park, is this elegant, tasteful, luxurious hotel. It was recently renovated, and the new lobby is intimate and avant-garde. The bright, spacious rooms are all beautifully furnished, with immaculate bathrooms (all with a double vanity sink). There are also spectacular suites with a fully-stocked kitchenette, and some even with laundry facilities for longer-term guests. Jean Georges oversees all catering at the hotel, including the main restaurant, which is a popular East Side venue in its own right. Service is impeccable and friendly, and the hotel is noted for its exceptional concierge, who can find tickets for any event, any time.
