Good Hotel Guide Review
Well-manicured lawns stretch away from Paul and Michelle’s ‘most welcoming’ Georgian house where tranquillity is part of the package. A child-free spot, it has plenty of space to recharge. The large, airy sitting room has cosy armchairs for reading a borrowed book or a newspaper; the manicured grounds are ideal for restful strolls; a weak mobile signal allows guests to properly disconnect. The well-equipped, capacious bedrooms, all garden-facing, have thoughtful extras (tea/coffee-making facilities, a mini-fridge, fluffy bathrobes, good toiletries); two have a separate lounge. Ordered in advance, breakfasts are generous (oak-smoked local kippers, locally made jams). The owners have much knowledgeable advice about the area.
