Behind its grey exterior, this bay-fronted, seafront Victorian townhouse has undergone an award-winning designer makeover, nodding to Scandi chic and bowing to Bauhaus. Bedrooms with sea views are styled in shades of sand, and pebbles. Those with town and downs views have shades of moss and sage. They range from cosy Cabins to the Studio Apartment. All have a king-size bed, Hypnos mattress, espresso machine, smart TV, bar fridge and power shower or bath and shower. Cocktails and imaginative breakfasts are served in the light-filled open-plan ground-floor space, painted a subtle pink and hung with modern art. There is no restaurant, but they offer small plates and sharing boards, and when the sun shines you can sit out on the dining deck.
