Good Hotel Guide Review
Keep an eye out for wandering pheasants: this Victorian house, once the home of a respected community doctor, stands amid a spread of gardens and woodland. Now owned and amiably run as a modern B&B by Lynne Fordyce and John Watters, it has been brought up to date with bright rooms and a lofty, glass-fronted extension facing the neat lawn. In the main house and converted stables, contemporary bedrooms are thoughtfully supplied with hot drinks, bottles of water and locally made biscuits. A log-burning stove warms the spacious lounge. Accompanied by home-made compotes and Perthshire honey, there’s plenty of choice at breakfast: omelettes, apple pancakes, a traditional Scottish and more.
