Good Hotel Guide Review
Kari and Phillip Couser’s guest house, in the leafy King’s Park conservation area, is an easy stroll from many of the city’s attractions. The tree-lined neighbourhood is a peaceful retreat from the centre; the wide expanse of the Stirling Golf Club is just up the street. Sip a welcome drink in the ‘lovely’ double-fronted Victorian house and admire the view over the square through big windows. Tastefully decorated bedrooms are supplied with bathrobes, Scottish toiletries, a hot drinks tray and bottled water; each, too, has space to sit. Breakfast well on a generous buffet; cooked dishes include pancakes with home-made fruit compote, and poached eggs with haggis. ½ mile to city centre and Stirling Castle.|bedrooms 10. 1 on ground floor. open All year except Christmas. facilities Lounge, breakfast room, free Wi-Fi, in-room smart TV (Freeview), garden, parking. background music None. children Not under 12. prices Per room B&B £70–£140.
