Good Hotel Guide Review
Louise Oldfield and Liam Nabb artfully restored their 200-year-old town house with an eye to preserving its history while updating it for the modern guest. Styled with a casual elegance, their B&B stands on a Georgian square, a ten-minute walk from the Turner Contemporary gallery. There are stripped wooden floors, enormous sash windows, original shutters and vintage plasterwork. Bright, airy bedrooms each take up an entire floor. Each room has a large French-style bed, seasonal blooms, vintage books; a ‘cavernous’ bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath. ‘You don’t have to face the world before breakfast,’ the owners say; have a leisurely start with a much-praised windowside spread ‘beautifully served’ in the bedroom at a time of your choosing.
