The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
A 16th-century inn whose signal torch once guided travellers across the fens is today a beacon of hospitality; it has been in the care of the Dennison family for the past 40 years. Among individually styled bedrooms, the best has period furniture, an in-room roll-top bath, a shower room with double rainfall shower. There is a cosy panelled bar with beams, settles and blazing fires. In the restaurant, choose from pub classics and dishes such as South Indian coconut curry or wild mushroom risotto. Resident spaniel Ollie welcomes canine guests, while hostess Laura is also a trained osteopath should you strain your neck watching skylarks at Frampton Marsh or sprain an ankle walking the Lincolnshire Wolds.
