Good Hotel Guide Review
In the centre of a lively market town within walking distance of the Shropshire hills, this ‘splendid’ B&B is run by Diane Chadwick, a ‘wonderfully energetic, helpful’ hostess. The Victorian town house has ‘well-priced, convenient’ accommodation in ‘comfortable’ bedrooms, each ‘tastefully decorated’ with artworks and antiques that lend much character. Guests appreciate the hostess’s generous touch and eye for detail: each bedroom is supplied with bathrobes and toiletries, teas, coffee, hot chocolate, sherry and biscuits. Served in a garden-facing room, breakfast has freshly baked pastries, and sausages from locally reared pigs. Light lunches and sweet treats may be taken in the cosy, on-site café, Jemima’s Kitchen.
