Good Hotel Guide Review
On frenetic Leicester Square, a majestic terracotta building – once a popular Parisian style brasserie designed by Walter Emden – is now a modern Art Deco-inspired hotel. Part of the MGallery by Sofitel boutique collection, it has a discreet entrance leading to light-filled spaces sporting soft hues, brass and wood fittings, and a cinematic theme with portraits of movie icons and silent films screened near each floor’s lift. Sparsely furnished bedrooms (some small) have a tidy palette with geometric flooring and metro-tiled bathrooms. The bistro below serves classic French dishes, with heaters and blankets protecting diners on the covered terrace. Breakfast brings freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, pancakes with fruit purée.
