The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain & Ireland, and also covers parts of Continental Europe. The Guide was first published in 1978. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay. Hotels cannot buy their way into the Guide. The editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. All hotels in the Guide receive a free basic listing. A fee is charged for a full web entry.

Good Hotel Guide Review
The hotel experts at the Good Hotel Guide
On the glorious Pembrokeshire coast, Ed and Lou Sykes run their Georgian stone house as a smart restaurant-with-rooms, successfully blending character with cool contemporary design. Some of the chic bedrooms have a view of Carnigli, others look out to Newport Bay; three are in a mews annexe. there's even a dog-friendly yurt. You can dine in the traditional flagstone cellar bar or in a modern pod in the garden as well as in the main restaurant. Ed, a dedicated forager, occasionally gives short courses on hunting for wild food. At breakfast, don't miss the salmon smoked in the brick kiln out the back.
