Good Hotel Guide Review
Across the causeway from St Michael’s Mount, which, ‘caught in the evening sunset really is a magical prospect’, James and Mary St Levan’s ‘fabulous (and fabulously dog-friendly)’ inn wins praise for its ‘excellent accommodation’ and ‘attentive, professional staff’. Uplifting coastal colours and local artwork brighten the bedrooms; many have superb views; village-view rooms, ‘comfortable, smart, modern’, have less character; in all are bathrobes, good toiletries. Some are accessed via ‘steep stairs’. Caught-that-day seafood is a highlight of the ‘fresh, tasty’ menu in the light-filled restaurant with its breezy Scandi vibe (and spectacular terrace). ‘The cod tasted as good as only fresh cod can.’ Breakfast includes smoked salmon, buttermilk pancakes, the full Cornish.
