Good Hotel Guide Review
Atop the craggy Pentire headland, this cliff-edge hotel dispenses exhilarating views and the soothing sounds of the Atlantic. Sleek and stylish inside, it has a laid-back atmosphere and environmentally friendly principles. Most bedrooms take in a vista that stretches towards Towan Head and Fistral Beach. Each has a large bed, home-made biscuits, binoculars and a digital radio; in the bathroom are robes, organic toiletries, perhaps a slipper bath. In the ‘busy, informal’ restaurant and bar, and on the wide terrace above the waves, produce from local fishermen and farmers are featured in such unfussy dishes as pan-roasted Cornish pollock, squid and chickpea stew, mussels. Good walks from the door.
